If you are looking for a car with a good balance of style, dynamics and practical attributes then the sleek new Audi A5, in its Coupe, Cabriolet and Sportback guises, may well fit the bill. The practical aspect increases dramatically if you choose the five-door Sportback, while the dynamics of all models are ramped up with the S-line exterior package, and topped off by the powerful S5 version.

For drivers of all the new A5 B9 models JMS Fahrzeugteile now offer a comprehensive tuning programme that delivers an even sportier look. This starts with the JMS Racelook Exclusive Line front spoiler lip (369 euro) featuring an integrated air splitter in the middle, and an air intake on each side. At the rear the JMS Racelook Exclusive Line diffuser (329 euro) has cutouts on each side that can accommodate a quad-pipe exhaust system using pipe diameters of up to 90 mm.

As always, an attractive set of alloy wheels really makes a car, and the chosen design for the JMS A5 is the Cor.Speed DeVille ten-spoke wheel (449 euro) in classic silver brushed finish. Sized 9.0×20-inch for this application, these wheels are shod with 265/30R20 tyres.

A set of adjustable KW lowering springs (749 euro) calibrated to work with the factory dampers drops the ride height by 50 mm and 45 mm front and rear respectively. Together with the big wheels and tyres, this gives the A5 a ground-hugging stance, and improves its handling and grip.

The Eisenmann stainless steel sports exhausts currently under development for both petrol and diesel models will deliver a deeper, sportier soundtrack. Prices are expected to be around 1,599 euro.
